I have recently installed software on VM and earlier NetYCE01 password was working but all of sudden it stopped working.
Please guide how to retrieve it, is there any way through GUI ?
nice talking to you on the phone.
As mentioned, as a framework we need to be able to work with the/all different possibilities. Since the management VRF is not mandatory to use, the CMDB nodes won’t use this. This doesn’t have any impact on the SSH session. It will impact the (pre/post) backups if the mgmt IP is in another VRF than…[Read more]
The following issue exists when running a basic command job, also NCCM fails probably for the same reason.
Platform: Nexus 9000
ls1-lab# copy startup-config sftp://192.168.116.101/public/previous/ls1
Enter vrf (If no input, current vrf ‘default’ is considered):
Enter username: ycicle
ssh: connect to host 192.168.116.101 port 22:…[Read more]
Hi Jeroen, thank you for your reply: great to hear the issue has been resolved!
The YCE connection matrix shows which protocols and ports it uses for connectivity in any direction.
The following page shows an overview of the supported and default protocols used per vendor. Sessions are set…[Read more]
Does the “last poll” date for the nodes change? If there’s no change in the configuration compared to the last known configuration there will be no new entry in the config diffs because there’s no diff.
We use the hostname of the server to generate the name for the Poller id(‘s), in case the hostname of the server changes we will present you with…[Read more]
yes the nodes have been added to the NCCM under the poller config tab, the nodes are being polled according the poller interval, just not showing up in the config diffs.
yes we did change the hostname of the server.
thank you for your reply, did you add the nodes in question to the NCCM? (this can be done in the “Poller config” tab, by adding the desired nodenames or nodegroups)
By default we will retrieve a configuration and store it in the NCCM database when you execute a job on a node however, we will not poll nodes regularly unless the node…[Read more]
I also see this message not sure if that is related.
Polling configurations were found that are not part of known servers in this NetYCE setup.
Please select the desired action for these nodes
Recently I downloaded and installed/imported version 7.1.0 on our VMWare platform, I did run the net_setup.pl and yce_setup.pl to enable https.
I have created a couple of nodes and the poller config indicates successful polls have been made. However the ‘nccm’ (initial) polls don’t show up under the config diffs. The only diffs showing are…[Read more]
I guess this is a documentation problem, I already went thought the VM Installation guide, it says the following:
Start the VM and login with user root.
Cancel/don’t enter the net_setup
enter the command ck_eth.pl
the document also list an ssh user
I was able to log in with this user but its not a…[Read more]
This information is provided in the license you have accepted when you installed the VM. As well as in the wiki article VM installation guide.
Please let me know if I can help you out more.
I have download the genesis ova file and imported it to vBox on Mac
When the VM start its asking for a login creds (the training video’s show an automatic login….)
how do I login to run the initial setup ?
I contacted Richard a while ago regarding this issue, it only happens when using telnet. Got a job log and am working on a solution for this case.
The telnet protocol support isn’t affected, this issue only seems to pop up at a specific set of Cisco switches.
Does this only happen on telnet or also on ssh?
Would it be possible for you to sent the output of your job log to email@example.com so I can have a look what could be the issue.
